These beautiful old-fashioned Gianduia filled peach pastries are dipped in Alchermes (the scarlet red Italian liqueur, prepared by infusing neutral spirits with sugar, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and vanilla, and other herbs and flavoring agents) They don’t taste like peaches, but they sure look like one.
