Martelli DOP Tomato Sauce
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp Martelli Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 medium onion (diced)
- 3 cloves (minced)
- 1 can of DOP Martelli Tomatoes
- 1 tsp Martelli Sea Salt
- A few fresh basil leaves
Directions
1. Into a medium sized pot add the olive oil and onions. Sautee on medium until the onions become translucent.
2. Add the garlic and saute for a few more minutes.
3. Add the tomatoes, sea salt and basil.
4. Bring to a boil then lower the heat, cover and allow to simmer for 1-2 hours.
5. Break apart the tomatoes.
Total Time: 1-2 hours
